Suzuki launched the updated BS6 version of the Burgman Street 125 at Rs 77,900, which is around 7 grand more expensive than the outgoing BS4 model. In its new avatar, the Burgman Street 125 would continue to have the same bunch of features as before and then some.
The new BS6 Burgman 125 is powered by the same 125cc, single which used to power the previous model. However, now it comes with fuel injection that keeps the emissions in check and also provides better fuel economy and performance. It also gets Suzuki’s Eco Performance technology and produces 8.5bhp and 10Nm. There’s a new integrated kill switch and engine start button that features Suzuki’s ‘Easy Start System’.
Speaking at the launch of the new BS6 Burgman 125, Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “Suzuki Motorcycle India is a pioneer in 125cc scooter segment in India and we have also successfully created a new category of advanced premium riding by introducing Burgman Street in the country.”
“Today, we are delighted to offer this premium scooter with BS6 engine along with Fuel Injection technology to make it even more enjoyable. We are confident that the upgraded Burgman Street with BS6 will add a zing to an overall riding experience for our customers.”
BS6 Suzuki Burgman 125 visual changes
It would be difficult to identify the new BS6 Suzuki Burgman 125 because visually it remains very similar to its predecessor. However, just FYI, there are some chrome accents on the front and rear panels to keep things fresh. Suzuki has also added a new Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red colour which will be available along with the other Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray, Pearl Mirage White, and Metallic Matte Black colour options. We do hope Suzuki would introduce the MotoGP livery too.
