It was just last week when we reported that Triumph is going to launch the Scrambler 1200 XC soon and then we’ll get to know the official price and details. Well, the time has come. The 1200 XC is going to cost you Rs 10.73 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).

It’s a familiar 1200cc engine.

Since the 1200 XC is an international product, we already knew a handful of details about the bike which we had talked about in our earlier story. There are, however, some new revelations that make this Scrambler even better. To begin with, the 2nd generation TFT display is gorgeous. It is also loaded with features. Triumph claims that it is the first one to integrate the GoPro control system in its TFT display. This would come in handy to a lot of owners as more and more people nowadays are using a GoPro while riding.

Another interesting feature about the TFT display is that it can provide you with turn-by-turn navigation once you install the optional Bluetooth connectivity module. It will also allow you to connect your smartphone and work around with your music and calls.

You can get an idea about the Scrambler 1200 XC’s off-road capabilities by the fact that it comes with a wire-spoke 21-inch wheel at the front and 12-inch wheel at the rear wearing tubeless tyres. The brakes are from Brembo; with a 320mm dual disc setup at the front and a single disc at the back. Suspension on both the ends provide 200mm of travel for soaking up all the undulations of the trail you always wanted to cover.

Just by the looks of it, you might think that the Scrambler 1200 XC doesn’t weigh that much. And it’s quite true. Its dry weight is 205kg, and when you combine this with its lower seat height, you have a bike which is easy to manoeuvre around.
