We first saw the Hero Splendor Pro Classic at the Auto Expo 2014. It definitely got a lot of attention. In a time when cafe racers are making sort of a comeback with the Royal Enfield Continental GT and the certain models from Triumph leading the way, the Splendor Pro Classic is a very different take on this trend. Who says production cafe racers need to be fast and pricey asks Hero MotoCorp. With an ex-showroom price tag of 53,000 Indian rupees, the Splendor Pro Classic looks every bit the cafe racer as one would expect right down to the customary bump at the rear seat. The foot pegs are at the normal upfront position though, we expect that would make it a tad uncomfortable to ride given the shorter and lower handle bars. The engine remains the same as that on the regular Splendor’s making 7.7 PS of power and 8 Nm of torque from the 97.2 cc engine. The bike will be at the showrooms in the coming weeks.
