Hero Electric has got an extensive range of electric scooters available for sale in the Indian market. However, this time, it has got something new – its first electric motorcycle. And we have a couple of spy shots of the same.
Even though the spotted electric motorcycle was disguised, the spy shots do give out some crucial details. To begin with, this new e-bike will resemble a conventional petrol-powered commuter motorcycle. It has that street-bike look which could be a good thing for its sales.
We also see a set of alloy wheels, single-piece tubular handlebar, and USD forks. The electric motorcycle would be running a belt-drive which is quite common in case of electric two-wheelers.
The spy shots don’t reveal how the e-bike would look from the front but considering the sporty side view and features like USD forks, sculpted ‘fuel’ tank, etc., we really hope to see something exciting. Talking about exciting, we are expecting to see a fully digital TFT dash with a plethora of features like smartphone connectivity, navigation, geofencing, etc.
Regarding the main specs, we don’t have the power figure or battery capacity as of now. However, it is being speculated that the electric motorcycle will have a range of 120 km and a top speed of 80 km/h.

Most probably, Hero Electric will showcase this e-bike at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. It might even launch the same. Right now, rumours are that this e-bike could carry a price tag of around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
