So it is now official, Royal Enfield will not convert its 500cc motorcycles to comply with BS6 emission norms, rather discontinue them soon. To mark the end of its 500cc models, Royal Enfield has announced the Classic 500 Tribute Black Limited Edition.

The Classic 500 Tribute Black Limited Edition will indeed be a very special motorcycle for Royal Enfield and its fans. It will be the last model to come with RE’s 500cc long-stroke, single-cylinder UCE (Unit Construction Engine) that produces 27.58 PS of power and 41.3 Nm of torque.

And to make sure this model is as special as it could be, RE has added a dual-tone matte-and-gloss black colour scheme. Also, each model will carry a unique ‘End of Build’ serial number for that emotional touch.

Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black Limited Edition

The Classic 500 Tribute Black Limited Edition will be made to order and is your last chance to become a part of a legacy, the unmistakable thump that has reverberated through the hearts of Royal Enfield riders for over a decade. The sale will go live on February 10 from 2-5 pm. Registrations for the sale have already commenced.

Royal Enfield would continue to sell its 500cc models (Classic 500, Bullet 500 and Thunderbird 500) until March 31, 2020, one day before the new BS6 emission norms kick in in the country. However, owners of these models wouldn’t need to worry as the service and spares will still be provided by the company. Also, RE will continue to sell its 500cc motorcycles in the international markets.

We are pretty confident that the Classic 500 Tribute Black Limited Edition will be sold out pretty quickly.
