So the time has finally come, one of the most anticipated motorcycles of 2019, KTM 390 Adventure has been ultimately launched in India for Rs 2.99 lakh! Just like you, we, too, have been impatiently waiting for this bike to go official. And now, we are waiting to ride one!

KTM 390 Adventure Price

We did know that the 390 Adventure will be costlier than the 390 Duke for various reasons. At Rs 2.99 lakh, it is around Rs 51,000 more expensive than its naked sibling. Yes, that’s half a lakh rupees more but KTM has done a lot to make each penny count. On a different note, the 390 Adventure is much affordable than its closest rivals – BMW G 310 GS (Rs 3.49 lakh) and Kawasaki Versys X 300 (Rs 4.69 lakh).

KTM 390 Adventure Specs

KTM 390 Adventure garnered such a huge fanbase even before its launch that it became the highlight for the last few months. Perhaps, that’s why we already know so much about it. However, some of its key specs that we really like are-

  • TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation function
  • Quickshifter
  • Traction control (first in its segment)
  • Switchable ABS
  • 19/17-inch wheel setup with dual-purpose tyres
  • Large 14.5-litre fuel tank
  • Long travel suspension
  • 200mm of ground clearance

As far as the looks are concerned, the 390 Adventure is very similar to its elder sibling, 790 Adventure, which could also be launched in India at a later date.

KTM 390 Adventure Engine

Powering the new 390 Adventure is the same high-compression, 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that we are very much familiar with. However, this time it is BS6 compliant and even then has got 43 bhp and 37 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Now, we will have to ride the bike to find out whether KTM has played around with the power delivery or not.

Also, this clears out that the BS6 KTM 390 Duke would have the same power and torque figures in its cleaner and greener avatar which should be launched sooner than expected.

Considering the immense popularity of KTM bikes in India and the growing trend of adventure travelling or motorcycling touring, we see a bright future for the 390 Adventure.
