BS6 Royal Enfield Himalayan was recently spotted in its new dual-tone red and black paint scheme at what seems to be a brand’s dealership. This means that the new motorcycle has started reaching the dealerships and would be launched very soon. But before that happens, we already know how much it is going to cost.

BS6 Royal Enfield Himalayan price

Thanks to a leaked document, the prices of the new Himalayan are no longer a mystery. Its starting price is Rs 1.86 lakh for the Snow White and Granite Black colours whereas the new paint schemes (Gravel Grey, Rock Red, and Lake Blue) will set you back by Rs 1.91 lakh.

Unfortunately, we still need to wait to get the official spec sheet. Based on the recent reports, it seems that RE has added new interesting features in the new Himalayan. Some of them are-

  • Hazard lamps
  • Headlight switches on only when the engine is running, saves battery
  • Revised instrument console with added buttons, telltale lights
  • White backlight in the instrument console
  • Switchable ABS
  • Redesigned side stand for better stability when the bike is parked

As far as the engine is concerned, it will be tinkered to meet the new and more stringent BS6 emission norms, that will be implemented in the entire country from April, but overall it is going to be the same 411cc, single-cylinder engine that powers the BS4 model.

Since the Himalayan was already a fuel-injected motorcycle, Royal Enfield wouldn’t have to work that harder to convert the bike into BS6. Perhaps, that’s one of the reasons why the price of the new Himalayan didn’t see a higher hike. We are expecting to see similar power and torque figures as before – 24.5 bhp of power and 32 Nm of torque.

Considering all the information regarding the new Himalayan that we have now, it seems that Royal Enfield could launch the bike any day. So stay tuned to iamabiker for the latest updates.
