KTM made its debut in the Indian market with the 200 Duke around 8 years ago. Since then, KTM has introduced many new motorcycles and updated old ones, but the 200 Duke didn’t really get any serious or major makeover. Thankfully, things will now change because the BS6 KTM 200 Duke will resemble its elder sibling – the 250 Duke.
BS6 KTM 200 Duke: What’s new?
A bunch of pictures of the upcoming BS6 200 Duke have hit the internet and we can clearly see that the new bike looks very similar to the 250 Duke. Following are some of the familiar features-
- Headlight with LED DRLs
- Fuel tank design
- Fuel tank shrouds
- Rear sub-frame
- Wider split seats
- LED taillight, etc.
BS6 KTM 200 Duke Specs
Apart from the aforementioned cosmetic changes, the new 200 Duke will continue to be powered by the same 200cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 25 bhp and 19.2 Nm of torque. These figures might be slightly disturbed owing to BS6 compliance.
Other features like 300mm front disc, USD forks, mono-shock, instrument console, switchgear, tyres, single-channel ABS, etc. will be carried forward to the new model.
BS6 KTM 200 Duke Colours
Along with giving a full revamp, KTM has also changed the colour schemes of the new bike. It will be available in two shades, orange and white. The former will get an orange rear sub-frame whereas the latter will have a white unit.
BS6 KTM 200 Duke Price
As for the pricing, the BS4 model retails at Rs 1.60 lakh. So it is quite understandable and obvious that in its BS6 glory, the 200 Duke will bear a higher figure than that.
It’s being said that these pictures of the new Duke have been taken at some dealership which means that KTM could launch the bike any day. So, stay tuned to iamabiker for the latest updates!
