The upcoming Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS has started reaching dealerships. Most of its features have already been known thanks to the clear spy shots that we’ve seen in the past. While we are familiar with the visible changes in the bike, the fact whether it will be BS6 compliant or not was still unknown, until now.
There’s a document from the Transport Department, GNTC of Delhi that has been leaked. It clearly states a few key specifications of the 2019 Mojo 300 ABS like the vehicle category, dimensions, wheelbase, and weight.
The document also lists that the new Mojo will be powered by a 294.72cc single-cylinder engine which produces 19.34kW or 26.3PS of power. And it’s a BS4 compliant engine!
We are unable to fathom why would Mahindra not upgrade the engine of the new Mojo to make it BS6 compliant when the new emission rules are eventually going to be implemented in the country from April 2020. This would have been the perfect timing for the company to make the necessary changes. Of course, Mahindra must’ve gone ahead with this decision after a lot of brainstorming. We are expecting to have an official statement from the company on the same.
We also don’t have an official launch date or the price of the 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS. But both of them should be revealed pretty soon. What do you guys have to say about the updated Mojo?
