Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 now a part of Gurugram Police Patrolling Squad

Koichiro Hirao, MD, SMIPL hands over the Gixxer SF 250 to IPS Mohammed Akil, CP, Gurugram

Gurugram Police added 10 brand-new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 motorcycles to its Patrolling Squad. Suzuki Motorcycle India handed over the bikes to the Police Department as part of their road safety CSR initiative.

The motorcycles were presented by Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India to IPS Mohammed Akil, Commissioner of Police, Gurugram in a ceremony held at Commissioner’s office at Sohna Road, Gurugram.

Speaking at the ceremony, Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “With road safety being a priority at SMIPL, we are pleased to associate with Gurugram Police and present them with Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 for their patrolling squad. These motorcycles are customized keeping in mind the department’s requirement and believe that added resources will support in maintaining law and order in the city.”

To make the Gixxer SF 250 compatible for handling patrolling duties, Suzuki did a bunch of modifications. These bikes come equipped with a massive windscreen, police decals on the fuel tank, side pannier, and police sirens. Also, the colour of the bikes has been changed to white. No changes have been made to the mechanicals of the bike.
