These days, whenever we speak of Royal Enfield, mostly it is the 650 Twins that first come to our minds. Of course, both of them are great motorcycles and very value for money but this time around it isn’t them that has sought our attention, rather it is the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Royal Enfield showcased the Himalayan at the EICMA 2019 in three new attractive colour options – Gravel Grey, Rock Red, and Lake Blue. Out of the three, our personal favourite is the Gravel Grey which is a matte finish whereas the rest of the two new colours are glossy.
The Himalayan has quite a simple construction and thus doesn’t have that many fairings and panels to paint. And its simplicity is one of the things that we really like.
Apart from the new paint jobs, the rest of the bike remains exactly the same. So no surprises there. We are hoping that Royal Enfield will launch these new colours in India very soon. Perhaps, to mark the arrival of the BS 6 variant of the Himalayan. Wouldn’t that be nice?
And those of you who were eagerly waiting for a 650 Himalayan, disappoint is what knocks at your door, guys. As of now, there’s no sign of such a bike, although we do hope in the future we get to see something like that.
