Yamaha has finally entered the 125cc scooter segment in India by launching the new BS6 Fascino 125 for a starting price of Rs 66,430. It is an updated and more powerful version of the Fascino 110 which has been available in the market for quite some time now and will continue to be on sale until the new and stricter BS6 emission norms kick in, i.e., until 1st April 2020.
The most important feature of the new Fascino 125 has to be its new and bigger engine. Unlike the 113cc engine which powers the Fascino 110, the new model has a 125cc engine that produces 8.2 bhp and 9.7 Nm of torque. It also suffices to the new BS6 emission norms. Yamaha says that this engine is 16% more efficient than that of the Fascino 110 and has claimed fuel efficiency of 58 km/l. Even after being more powerful, the new 125cc engine is more fuel-efficient and lighter than its 113cc counterpart.
Apart from the engine, Yamaha has also updated the looks of the Fascino. In its latest avatar, it gets chrome embellishments on certain body panels for a more premium appeal and a bigger taillight. It also gets a bunch of new colour options – Suave Copper, Dark Matte Blue, Cyan Blue and Metallic Black for disc and drum variants along with Vivid Red and Yellow Cocktail exclusively for the disc brake trim.
