A bunch of clear spy shots of the upcoming BS 6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird have surfaced. The test mule in these pictures is completely undisguised and that’s why we get to see more details of the bike.
2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird Key Aesthetic Changes-
- Smaller round headlamp with clear lens
- Single-pod instrument cluster, could be fully digital
- Revised fuel tank, side panels
- Split seats, grab rail
- Redesigned rear end
- Single round tail light
Earlier this month, we reported about Royal Enfield could be pulling its 500cc motorcycles off the shelf. This means that the new 2020 Thunderbird would be the 350cc model. However, it is being speculated that its engine isn’t the same 350cc mill from the current model, instead, it is a bigger (400cc) unit which has been derived from the 650cc engine. Also, to handle the increased power and torque, Royal Enfield has replaced the Thunderbird’s single-cradle chassis with a new double-cradle unit.
We would have to wait some more to see if that’s true or not.
The new Thunderbird would also get the rear disc on the right side and dual-channel ABS. It is expected to provide a relaxed riding position as it would have a new handlebar and re-positioned footpegs.
