One of the most anticipated bikes of the year, KTM 390 Adventure was revealed at the EICMA 2019 among a lot of fanfare. As expected, it received many praises and gathered quite a huge crowd. However, there was another motorcycle which we were expecting to share the platform with the 390 Adventure and it wasn’t there. Yes, we are talking about the KTM 250 Adventure.
KTM didn’t showcase the 250 Adventure at the EICMA but that doesn’t mean it is off the charts. We saw its test mule quite recently and it was very prominent that the bike is definitely coming but we didn’t have any pictures. Well, the 250 Adventure just went official as KTM revealed it in Indonesia.
As expected, the 250 Adventure has various similarities with the 390 Adventure as well as the 250 Duke. However, since it is a more affordable motorcycle than its elder adventure sibling, it loses out on some features like-
- No LED headlight
- No adjustable front forks
- Only preload adjustment for the rear monoshock
- No traction control
- No ride-by-wire
KTM 250 Adventure Key Specs-
- Gets the same design as the 390 Adventure
- 14.5-litre fuel tank
- 19/17-in wheel setup
- MRF Mogrip Meteor FM2 tubeless tyres
- Dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode
- Same 250cc engine as the 250 Duke
- 30hp and 24 Nm
- 6-speed gearbox
- 5.5-in TFT dash
KTM promised to launch both its new Adventure motorcycles in India in December at the IBW 2019. We are looking forward to that and will keep you guys updated about the same. By the way, which of the two are you waiting for?
