We’ve had a fair share of spy pictures of the upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401. In fact, a few KTM dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai started accepting unofficial bookings for the Husqvarna 401. This led us to believe that we would be getting the new Huskies very soon. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen as their launch has been delayed.

As per the latest reports, Bajaj postponed the launch at least until April 2020 to avoid a probable clash with BS 4 Bajaj and KTM products that will be available at heavy discounts during that time.

Why so?

Well, because the new BS 6 rules will be implemented in the country on 1st April 2020 and manufacturers will like to clear its old BS 4 stock before that. In fact, Bajaj is planning to use the same strategy for its as well as KTMs other premium products. So, you can expect to see updated Pulsars and Dominars at the same time.

So what’s been confirmed until now?

Speculations are being made that the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 will indeed be manufactured at Bajaj’s facility in Chakan. Their production is likely to begin by the end of this year but they will be exported to other countries before getting launched here in India.

Are you excited about the new Huskies or KTMs are more than enough for you?
