Classic Legends launched the dual-channel ABS versions of both the Jawa and Forty Two last year in December. This step was taken after taking customer feedback into account. The new motorcycles received disc brake at the rear and dual-channel ABS at an additional cost of Rs 9,000. Many people booked the bikes back then and the company promised to deliver the products to the customers after June 2019.
Well, it seems that Classic Legends kept its promise as Anupam Thareja, co-founder of the company, confirmed by replying to a customer’s tweet that the deliveries of the dual-channel ABS Jawa and Forty Two models will commence by the end of this month.
The single-channel ABS versions of the Jawa and Forty Two had price tags of Rs 1.64 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh respectively. Now, with the inclusion of dual-channel ABS, both the bikes cost a bit more. The dual-channel ABS Jawa will cost you Rs 1.72 lakh and the dual-channel ABS Forty Two carries a price tag of Rs 1.63 lakh.
Apart from the addition of the new safety net, the rest of the features of both the bikes remain untouched. They continue to extract power from a 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, engine that produces 27hp and 28Nm.
