Taking another step towards BS 6 conversion, Hero MotoCorp has launched the HF Deluxe in its BS6 avatar for a starting price of Rs 55,925. There’s also a higher version of the 100cc commuter available which includes Hero’s i3S (idle-start-stop) technology and is priced at Rs 57,250.
Speaking at the launch, Malo Le Masson, Head – Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, said, “HF Deluxe is the most popular entry segment motorcycle in India! The bike has already entered the 2-Million sales club and commands well over 2/3rd market share in the category. With the new HF Deluxe BS-VI, powered by Programmed FI technology, we have further enhanced the performance and efficiency of the motorcycle. We have now launched two new BS-VI motorcycles in quick succession and are committed to a rapid transition of our entire portfolio to the new norms.”
The new BS6 HF Deluxe comes with Hero’s ‘Xsens’ technology which offers 9 percent better fuel efficiency and improves acceleration as well. The new motorcycle also gets fuel injection. Powering the commuter is a 100cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which puts out a max power of 7.94 bhp at 8000 rpm and peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 6000 rpm. Hero says that it has developed the BS6 HF Deluxe at its Centre for Innovation and Technology, Jaipur.
Apart from the aforementioned changes, the new BS6 Hero HF Deluxe also gets new graphics and two new colours – techno blue and heavy grey with green.
Hero already started dispatching the new BS6 HF Deluxe to its dealerships across the country and soon it will be available at a showroom near you.
With the BS6 emission norms implementation date nearing, we are expecting Hero MotoCorp to convert its remaining products into BS6 and launch them in the coming months.
