While everyone is slowly transitioning into BS 6, Suzuki has launched the 2020 model of its world-famous Hayabusa, which will be the bike’s final BS 4 version and available in limited numbers. Exactly how many? That hasn’t been revealed yet.
The 2020 Hayabusa gets a couple of new paint schemes – Metallic Thunder Gray and Candy Daring Red – and graphics for a refreshed look. Suzuki also tweaked the front brake caliper, perhaps, to improve the braking performance of the bike. The rest of the machine remains exactly the same as before and so does the price – Rs 13.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd., said, “Suzuki Hayabusa has been the most preferred choice of the bike enthusiasts around the world for more than two decades now. Suzuki Hayabusa stands for its sensational power, smooth ride and overwhelming presence across countries. It enjoys a huge fan base among the enthusiasts in India as well. Moreover, it was the first one to become ‘Made-in-India’ big-bike from Suzuki Motorcycle India. Yet again, we are excited to offer the 2020 edition of the legendary Hayabusa.”
Since this is the Hayabusa’s final BS 4 version, it would be interesting to see what Suzuki would bring in post 1st April 2020 to replace the ‘Busa. We don’t see Suzuki making the current ‘Busa BS 6 compliant so perhaps the much-rumoured larger-displacement model with a turbocharger would make an appearance?
