The Grand Prix of Catalunya began this morning along with Jorge Martin’s much awaited return. It has been a positive day for Team Pramac Racing, which ended with Johann Zarco in first. The French rider, after a great FP1, improved in FP2 and ended as leader of the day with a time of 1:39.235.
Jorge Martin, just returning after being absent for over a month, immediately showed what he is worth. He set the twelth time in FP1 (1:41.243). In FP2, he wasn’t able to improve on his time. Regardless, he still put in 17 important laps – needed to regain the right feeling with the bike.
Johann Zarco
Very satisfied with today. I knew that after Mugello I had learned something and I couldn’t wait to try it out. We are working very well with the team, and the results are evidence of this. Now we just need to continue on this route.
Jorge Martín
I’m so happy, I couldn’t wait to get back, it’s a dream to be back here. Now I just need to get my confidence back, but already in FP1 I saw that I was going well. Tomorrow I’ll try to do my best and have a good qualifying.
