The confirmation has come in and as we all expected, Alex Marquez joins the Repsol Honda MotoGP team for the 2020 season in what seems like a 1 year contract. Of course he defnitely is deserving of the spot being a Moto2 world champion but his journey defnitely has been made easy thanks to elder brother Marc Marquez. Will definitely be interestng to see how the junior Marquez rides the tough RC213V. Will he be competitive? We shall know very soon enough, testing begins tomorrow. Now, one piece remains, what happens to Zarco, Avintia Racing?

“Honda Racing Corporation is pleased to announce the signing of double World Champion Alex Marquez. The young Spanish rider will join the Repsol Honda Team on a one-year contract.
He will move from the intermediate class to partner eight-time World Champion Marc Marquez in 2020 for his debut season in the premier class aboard the Honda RC213V.”
