KTM and Husqvarna have hiked prices of its respective motorcycles in India. KTM has hiked prices of the RC 125, RC 200, RC 390, 125 Duke, 200 Duke, 250 Duke 390 Duke, 250 Adventure, and 390 Adventure. Husqvarna has on the other hand increased prices of the Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250.
If there is one manufacturer we can attribute the growth of performance motorcycling in India to, it is KTM. The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer changed the way the Indian market looked at performance motorcycles when it launched the 200 Duke way back in 2012. Over the next eight years, KTM gave us a barrage of new motorcycles and today it has a diverse lineup that can cater to all types of motorcycle buyers.
The fastest-growing performance motorcycle manufacturer in India has now announced a hike in the prices of its motorcycles, just a month after its last price hike. Almost all the models sold by KTM in India have been affected by the hike.
With an increase of Rs 1,497, the KTM 125 Duke now costs Rs 1,51,507. With a hike of Rs 2,576, the KTM 200 Duke now retails at 1,81,536. The KTM 250 Duke has received a price hike of Rs 3,192 taking the price up to Rs 2,17,402 while the KTM 390 Duke now retails at Rs 2,70,554 after a hike of Rs 3,934.
The KTM RC 125 gets a price hike of Rs 1,466 taking the ex-showroom price to Rs 1,62,566. The RC 200 on the other hand sees an increase of Rs 3,021 taking prices to Rs 2,04,096. The RC 390 now retails at Rs 2,60,723 thanks to an increase of Rs 3,803.
KTM’s Adventure series too gets an increase in prices. The KTM 250 Adventure is now dearer by Rs 3,667 and now retails at Rs 2,51,923. The 390 Adventure on the other hand gets a hike of Rs 4,485 taking the ex-showroom price to Rs 3,130,365.
Husqvarna too has increased prices of the only two models it currently sells in India. Prices have increased by Rs 2,818 for both models, taking prices to Rs 1,90,568 for the Svartpilen 250 and Rs 1,89,954 for the Vitpilen 250. All the aforementioned motorcycles remain the same in terms of design and styling as well as in terms of specs and performance. Neither KTM, nor Husqvarna has specified reasons for the price hike.
