The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 is all set to debut in select markets in the near future. It will be the entry-level motorcycle from the Swedish motorcycle manufacturer and is based on the KTM 125 Duke. The motorcycle is expected to be launched later this year.

Husqvarna has a rich heritage in producing off-road motorcycles. It started producing motorcycles way back in 1903. However, it has been producing modern road-going motorcycles only for a few years now.
Until recently, Husqvarna’s road-going motorcycle range was heralded by the Svartpilen 401, Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen 701, and Vitpilen 701. The brand had also promised the launch of the Nordic 901. While the motorcycle community waited for the largest Husqvarna motorcycle yet, the Swedish brand debuted in India with the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250.
These two motorcycles are based on the KTM 250 Duke, and now the upcoming Svartpilen 125 is also expected to be based on the KTM 125 Duke. In terms of design and styling, it will follow the styling seen on the 401 and on the 250. It will still come with the circular headlamp up front, the sharp lines on the fuel tank, and the simple rear-end.

Power will be derived from the same 124.7cc engine seen in the KTM 125 Duke and RC 125. It is a liquid-cooled, 124.7cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 15bhp and a peak torque output of 12Nm. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 is expected to be launched in India and Europe later this year. More details are expected to come out in the next few months.
