The Bajaj Platina 110 ABS is all set to be launched in India. Multiple spy shots have revealed the motorcycle has reached Bajaj dealerships, and this simply means the motorcycle can be launched anytime now. It is essentially the H-Gear version of the Platina with the addition of ABS and new alloy wheels.

The Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear has been on sale for a while now. It sells in great numbers and offers comfort, practicality, and unmatched levels of fuel efficiency. It seems like Bajaj wanted to offer something more with the Platina 110, hence the brand has developed and is almost ready to launch the Platina 110 ABS.

In terms of design and styling, it is very similar to the Platina 110 H-Gear. It still gets the simple halogen bulb-powered headlamp up front, with an LED DRL placed right above it. It gets a sleek fuel tank and a comfortable seat along with a simple rear-end. The older Platina 110 H-Gear came with an analogue-digital instrument cluster.

Surprisingly though, this has been replaced with a completely analogue unit in the ABS-equipped variant. This might have been done to cut costs and Bajaj might try to keep the prices similar to the non-ABS H-Gear variant. The ABS variant also gets new decals, and dual-tone twin shocks at the rear.

The Bajaj Platina 110 ABS also gets new alloy wheels that seem to have been taken from the erstwhile Bajaj Discover series. The motorcycle is all set to become the first in its segment to feature ABS. It gets a single-channel ABS for the disc brake up front. A Drum brake handles braking duties at the rear.

The Bajaj Platina 110 ABS will be powered by the same air-cooled, 115cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 8.4bhp and a peak torque output of 9.8Nm. A 5-speed gearbox drives the rear wheel. Once launched, the Platina 110 ABS will become the top-spec model in the Platina line-up.

It is unknown at the moment if Bajaj will continue retailing the H-Gear version of the Platina or would replace it with the new ABS version.
