Prices of the Yamaha FZ FI and FZ-S FI have been hiked recently. Yamaha Motor India has increased the prices of both motorcycles by Rs 1,000. However, neither do any mechanical changes nor do any aesthetic changes accompany the price hike.

The Yamaha FZ series has been at the forefront of Yamaha’s product portfolio in the Indian market. It is among the bestselling models for Yamaha in India and holds quite a strong brand image among motorcyclists as well. It offers decent performance levels and looks great too.
Yamaha launched the fuel-injected versions of the FZ and FZ-S in order to ensure compliance with BS6 emissions norms. And now, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has hiked prices for both models. The Yamaha FZ FI now retails at Rs 1,02,700 while the FZ-S FI has a price tag of Rs 1,04,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The only differences between the two models are aesthetic and there are no mechanical differences. The Yamaha FZ-S FI and FZ FI are both powered by the same air-cooled, 149cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 12.2bhp and a peak torque output of 13.6Nm. A five-speed gearbox drives the rear wheel.

Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. It features a single disc brake at both ends.
