Triumph Motorcycles India has launched a motorcycle configurator on its website. Buyers can now customise their motorcycles on the website with the available accessories and see how it looks, before placing the order. The customisation can be saved and sent to the dealership who will install the selected accessories on the motorcycle.
In most cases, buying a motorcycle doesn’t really end with just purchasing the motorcycle itself. In order to make the motorcycle their own, buyers add accessories and customise it as required. However, with the sheer number of accessories on offer, this often leads to great confusion at the dealership.
Adding to this is the fact that the buyer can’t really see how that particular accessory would look on his/her motorcycle unless it has been fitted on the display bike of the same model of the same colour. Hence, a few manufacturers make use of configurators to help buyers decide on these customisations and options.
Triumph Motorcycles has now launched the configurator in the Indian market as well. It is available on www.triumphmotorcyclesindia.in and users can choose any one of the 16 motorcycle models Triumph currently retails in India. Each of the accessories available for the particular motorcycle model is also shown with its price, thereby informing users of the cost of customisation as well.
Accessories on offer include optional seats, panniers, frame sliders, crash guards, and a few styling as well as performance upgrades. Triumph also has on offer pre-designed kits which are a combination of a number of accessories. The configurator allows users to see how their motorcycle will look with these kits installed on it.
Mr Shoeb Farooq, the Business Head for Triumph Motorcycles India, was quoted as saying, “The Triumph online customization will enable buyers to customize their motorcycle even from their mobile devices giving them a visual of how the machine will look with the chosen accessories. The wide variety of accessory categories can overwhelm when choosing in-shop, however, digitally, it enables riders to try various combinations to know exactly how the motorcycle will look once the customization is done”.
This configurator also allows enthusiasts to take a good look at their dream motorcycle with accessories they want, without even stepping into the dealership.
