The Aprilia Terra 250 has been spotted at Aprilia’s factory. Aprilia was reported to be developing the 250cc version of the Terra for quite some time now. Now though, we get access to a spy image of the production-ready version.

The Terra 250 now completes the Terra family which currently consists of the Terra 125 and Terra 150. The Aprilia Terra made its debut in the Chinese market with the 125cc version. A 150cc version soon followed and now we’re seeing the 250cc version ready for production.

The Aprilia Terra series involves motorcycles that are designed for usage on various terrains. It isn’t a hardcorre off-roader and neither is it a soft-roader. Aprilia already has off-road bikes in the high-capacity segment and hence targeted the low-capacity, entry-level dual-purpose motorcycle segment with the Terra.

With the 250cc segment, Aprilia is now targeting the trending quarter-litre ADV segment. The little details of the motorcycle are not known at the moment. However, we can see that it follows the design language of the Terra 250.

We see details like the spoked wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres, large single-piece seat, rally-style bikini fairing and liquid-cooled 250cc engine. Since it is an ADV, it is also equipped with long travel suspension at the front and at the rear.

The engine is touted to be taken from the Aprilia GPR 250 motorcycle that was revealed in China last year. In the GPR 250, this motor had a maximum power output of 26.1bhp and a peak torque output of 22Nm.

In the Terra 250 though, it will definitely come in a different state of tune and being an ADV motorcycle, Aprilia will tune it to offer more torque than power. A 6-speed gearbox drives the rear wheel. It will most-likely feature a good amount of electronics as well.
