2021 Ducati XDiavel range revealed: Gets two new variants

The Ducati XDiavel has since the start been one of the more premium motorcycles money can buy. It comes with a powerful engine, a ton of electronic riding aids, and is the size of a small boat. It was targeted at a niche segment of buyers and sold in decent numbers in that circle.

However, Ducati has been working on making a few changes to the motorcycle in order to make it Euro 5 emissions norms compliant. The Italian marque has now revealed the 2021 XDiavel lineup. In terms of design, it remains identical to the outgoing model. However, it gets two new variants.

The Ducati XDiavel Dark is as the name suggests, dark. It features a matte Black paint job with Black-coloured livery and decals as well. Even the Ducati logo on the fuel tank is Black in colour.

The other new variant is called XDiavel Black Star. This variant too features a black paint job but comes with Red and Grey livery. It even gets a Red-coloured engine head cover and a suede seat. Ducati is offering the Sport, Touring, and Urban personalisation packages for all variants of the XDiavel.

The 2021 Ducati XDiavel series is powered by the same 1,262cc V-twin engine as the current model. However, it features a recalibrated engine with an updated exhaust system in order to make it Euro 5 emissions compliant. In its new  Euro 5 guise, it has gained 7.8bhp and 1.6Nm, taking the total output to 157.8bhp at 9,500rpm and 127.4Nm at 5,000rpm.

A 6-speed gearbox drives the rear wheel. The motorcycle comes loaded with features like the Bosch 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Ducati Traction Control, Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Power Launch (Launch Control), cruise control and multiple riding modes. The 2021 Ducati XDiavel is expected to be launched in India in the first half of 2021.
