The 2020 BS-VI Honda Grazia has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 73,336. The new Honda Grazia comes with quite a few mechanical updates and new features as well. It has been made available in two variants — Standard and Deluxe.
The Honda Grazia was launched a couple of years ago as a premium scooter in Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India’s line up. It was loaded with features and had all the credentials required to make it a premium offering. It performed decently in terms of sales and was discontinued in April 2020 as BS-VI emissions norms were implemented in India.
Now, the scooter has been launched in BS-VI guise. In terms of design, it is very similar to the old BS-IV model. However, there are changes that make it sleeker and sharper. It gets LED headlamps and LED DRLs placed higher up on the front apron. The handlebar cowling and tail lamp have been redesigned as well.
It has lots of new features and mechanical changes underneath. The 2020 Honda Grazia BS6 is powered by an air-cooled, 125cc, single-cylinder engine. Honda has equipped the engine with HET (Honda Eco Technology), eSP (Enhanced Smart Power), idling stop system and Honda’s ACG starter as well.
However, Honda hasn’t quoted the power figures being pushed out by the new BS6 engine. The old BS4 version put out 8.3bhp and 10.3Nm, and we expect the new BS6 engine to do the same as well. The 2020 Honda Grazia BS6 also features a new twin-pod digital instrument cluster.
It displays engine speed, vehicle speed, odometer, trip meters, real-time fuel efficiency, average efficiency and distance-to-empty. Honda claims that the new Grazia has improved on ground clearance by 16mm and also on underseat storage space.
Honda is yet to reveal prices of the new Deluxe variant, but we expect it to come at a premium. Deliveries of the new Honda Grazia will start next week.
