We finally have official word from Suzuki about the faired Gixxer. The bike will be called the Gixxer SF and will be launched in Delhi on April 7th. Now we have already seen the bike thanks to the plethora of spy pictures that have surfaced over the past few weeks and it is quite clear what to expect from this launch. The Gixxer SF will basically be the existing Gixxer with a full fairing. The engine and its characteristics remain the same. The bike will produce 14.59 HP from its 154.9 cc engine while torque figures lie at 14 Nm. Expected price is about Rs. 85,500/- ex-showroom in Delhi. From the different images of the Gixxer SF that has surfaced it is clear that it will be available in 4 colour options, namely Black, White, most probably the existing Red colour and the Blue one representing Suzuki’s MotoGP livery. Design wise the Gixer SF with the new fairing looks like a mini hayabusa from the front and kind of small. But the side profile make it look quite sporty and appealing. Now we sure hope Suzuki throws a curveball and we get to see some surprises on the Gixxer SF launch day, but honestly that would be expecting too much.
