2015 TVS Phoenix 125 launched

The Phoenix 125 for TVS might not have been the phoenix that the company hoped it to be. But with the 2015 version of this 125cc commuter bike, we certainly feel it now has the best chance of being that mythical creature to reinforce TVS strongly into this segment. With an ex-showroom Delhi price tag of Rs. 51,990/- for the drum version and Rs. 55,899/- for the disc brake version, this feature laden 2015 version of the TVS Phoenix sure has the potential to dominate this segment. The company is offering the new 2015 TVS Phoenix 125 in six colour options with new graphics. The colour options are – Black Magic, Crimson Black, Midnight Black, Red Hot, Cherry White and White Night. While the engine has been tweaked for better fuel efficiency and overall refinement the real highlights are the minor changes all over the bike that make it more special.

The 2015 TVS Phoenix 125 gets a full digital speedometer which has a white back light. This comes enclosed with a rev indicator, service reminder and a low battery indicator. The front disc brake has a 240 mm petal disc, while there is a drum brake version also available. Both versions come standard with tubeless tyres. The engine now produces 11 PS of max power at 8000 RPM and a torque number of 10.8 Nm at 5500 RPM. TVS claims a mileage of 67 kmpl for the new Phoenix. Another new interesting feature is the ‘Vehicle Location Assist”, which basically is a remote key chain to locate the bike in a parking lot. The headlight is DC, which means you do not need to start the bike for it work and it does not flicker with the engine RPM. Tank capacity is 12 litres which includes a reserve of 2 litres. Weight wise the drum version has a kerb weight of 114 kgs and the disc version has a weight of 116 kgs. Images of the new 2015 TVS Phoenix 125 below.
