With its confirmed return to the 2016 MotoGP season, its about time Suzuki stepped up. And surely things are going in a positive way. Here are the first snaps of the 2015 Suzuki GSX-S1000 spotted in US during it’s shoot mostly for media material. This could mean that the launch could be in the next few months, ideally at the Intermot in October. Now coming to the photographs we have here. It’s clear that the engine is an inline 4, suggesting that its the same engine from the GSX-R1000. But notice, the silencer is a newly designed one, hugging the body close. This could mean that there is also a new 2014 Suzuki GSX-R1000 on the cards. The front suspensions are twin golden USD forks with twin – two piston Brembo’s handling the braking at the front and a single disc at the rear. You can also visually confirm the presence of an ABS unit. Interestingly even the frame seems to be all new, not matching with the GSX-R1000. Now the golden question is, what will be the engine tune state. Now Suzuki typically has not been a great fan of the electronics, but we seriously think it will play a huge role from now on in their plans. Competition from the likes of BMW, Aprilia and even recently from the EBR offer heavy electronics to heavy power. EBR chose not to reduce the engine power for the naked, while BMW did. So now which card will Suzuki play? We think Suzuki in all probability will reduce the engine power to keep things more manageable and boost low end torque with the sacrificed top end. Either ways we will know soon enough.
