Hero MotoCorp now exports to Africa and Latin America

Hero MotoCorp has added Africa and Latin America to its list of international markets. Hero MotoCorp is strongly pursuing its international operations in a bid to reach its 5 year target of exporting 5 million units. Announcing the further expansion of operations, Mr Pawan Munjal, MD & CEO, Hero MotoCorp Ltd. said that the first consignment is already being dispatched to Peru in Latin America, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras in Central America and to Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast in Africa. He went on to add that later this month a shipment will be headed towards Kenya as well.

The motorcycles that are headed to these markets are in the 100 to 125 cc range and with the distributors and other required infrastructure already in place Hero MotoCorp wishes to start sales before July. The new export locations all add up to the list of 30 countries that Hero MotoCorp wants to export their products to.
