Indian Motorcycles after having presented their new engine some time back took their sweet time bringing out the motorcycles based on this new Thunder Stroke 111 engine. And now finally two years after its Polaris take over, Indian motorcycles are now officially back with three new versions of the Indian Chief, the 2014 Indian Chief Vintage, the 2014 Indian Chief Classic and the 2014 Indian Chieftain. All three feature the thunderous 1,891 cc V-Twin.
The three version’s are placed one above the other with the cheapest being the Chief Classic then the Chief Vintage and the Chieftain with increasing number of accessories and design change with the price. The Cheiftain is the first ever Indian Motorcycle to feature hard panniers and other accessories like the adjustable wind-shield, an audio system and connectivity to smart phones. All the three versions get cruise control, ABS and LED DRL’s.
