Vespa has had a very successful comeback to India with some pretty decent sales numbers and some huge expansions in the past year that included that of a factory expansion and better localisation of parts. This move made the pricing of this classic scooter much more in the reach of fans and now lies at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 59,996/-. Now moving a step further in although seemingly a small step Vespa has introduced a disc brake version of the Vespa LX 125 and have named it the Vespa VX 125.
The new Vespa VX 125 has a few additions that came from the feedback collected from customers. The 200mm disc up front of-course and then comes the bigger rear pillion grab rails. Other updates include an updated speedo console and an optional beige colour seat. The maroon and the black colour options have been replaced with a blue and a pink one. The Vespa VX 125 prices will be announced on June 20th and it should just be a marginal hike of couple of thousand rupees. Piaggio – Vespa are expecting good volumes for this model and are even willing to make the new Vespa VX 125 the sole model if the takers for the drum brake version see a drastic drop.
Update: The prices of the Vespa VX 125 have been announced, the new model costs Rs 65,596/- (ex-showroom Mumbai).
