2013 TVS Jupiter scooter launched

TVS India, today launched its new scooter to increase its hold on the scooter segment. The new TVS scooter called the Jupiter will sell along side the company’s other scooter the Wego and will be priced at Rs. 44,200/- ex-showroom Delhi. The engine on the scooter is a 109.7 cc one, that promises a mileage of 62 kmpl. Power figures lie at 7.8 HP at 7,500 RPM with a torque of 8 Nm at 5,500 RPM. This probably has to be the most elegant looking scooter from TVS but ironically some might say the design is somewhat inspired by the current market leaders. One good addition is the telescopic front forks, which will make a huge difference in the way this scooter handles and brakes. The 12 inch black alloys also add to its overall good looks. Among other things TVS claims that the Jupiter will have the smallest turning radius amongst its competitors and will also feature the best headlights in its class. The external fuel filling cap is also something that will make life easier compared to the internal under seat filling options that most of its competitors provide. The TVS Jupiter will be available in 4 colour options and with some small nifty features like the underseat mobile charging point, LED tail lamps, low fuel indicator and econometer thrown in, it promises to be a decent buy.
