Mahindra Motorcycles after an unveiling earlier this year have finally launched the Mahindra Centuro 110 in India. The pricing of this 110cc motorcycle is at a very attractive Rs.45,000/-. Adding to the already competitive pricing, in an introductory offer the first 10,000 bookings will get the Centuro at Rs 44,000/-. The Centuro from Mahindra marks its entry into the premium motorcycle segment. Premium because apart from being a basic daily use commuter motorcycle, the Centuro comes laden with features that is new to this segment. Below is the television commercial for the Mahindra Centuro 110, well let’s not spoil the ‘suspense’ by telling you what’s in it.

The Mahindra Centuro has a Central Locking Anti Theft System with Engine Immobiliser and a Remote encrypted Flip Key, something that is first not just in the segment but a first for all motorcycles made in India. Then there is the Find-me lamps that is useful to locate the motorcycle in a crowded parking lot. These lights also remain on for couple of seconds after you lock your bike to illuminate the area as you are walking away. It has bright LED tail & pilot lamps so that you are clearly visible in almost all weather conditions.

It sports an advanced, white fully-lit digital dashboard with an in-built, Service Due Indicator and Distance- to-Empty Fuel calculator and several other features. Its broad, robust styling with unique horizontal gold bars will ensure you always stand out in the crowd. The all new Mahindra Centuro is engineered for optimal performance delivering 8.5 BHP @ 7500 RPM and 8.5 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. The motorcycle also has best in class ground clearance of 173 mm, with a seat height of 800 mm and a maintenance free battery.

Well i like it’s powerful headlight and the tail lamp LED cluster….. At first I had a fear that I had made a wrong decision…. But now feel happy that my decision did’nt go wrong….   25. senthiru : very well explane about the bike service , i have booked it 20 days ago and they recquired more time , but because i m a softwaere engr , i took lots of time in net surfing , lookwise and feature wise mahindra centuru was my first crus but now i m realizing that mahindra should work harder to first improve its customer support without it it can not survive in the market , now i think to collect my cash back from booking and go for reliable brand .

    Sir/madam, sub: complaint regarding new Centuro

    As per the above cited subject I would like to bring to your notice that I purchased a Mahindra Centuro :Red,ChassisNo:MCDKG1B14DF04638,Engine No:UPE-DF006631,key no;1943 from Esquire Motors Bangalore, Invoice No:002932012-13 dt:19/07/2013.recieved it on 24th july after registration, the vehicle came with lot of scratches on the number plate, front and back mudguard, and the footrest scowl not painted properly dull on the left side, Esquire motors stated that they received all vehicles in that condition and it was a manufacturing defect ,I don’t understand how that was possible that Mahindra manufactures scratches and under painted scowl along with their vehicle.note even the front mudguard gatefrom the mould is not finished gives an odd look I let go of that issue and didn’t bother since it was a petty issue It had been the second day 50km crossed I was hearing a thump thud on my left shock absorber, I thought that it could be the tool kit placed under the seat, to my surprise on inspection I found that the left shock is rubbing against the left shield with zero clearance when compared to the right side shield and shock assembly, Esquire again said it was a manufacturing defect and they would not take responsibility, the service people there pulled the shield outside to avoid the rubbing sound now my bikes left shield is popping out looks as good as a old bike, now that sound reduced , three days and150 km done Centuro has all thud sounds coming from front and back on bumpy roads, the rig test that I saw on the LCD TV monitor at the show room proves to be fake and the guy talking on screen seems to be the project head!! Need to show him my Centuro, really disappointed; only the engine seems to be good, good going smooth engine. But don’t know how long till it runs smooth but proud to mention Centuro is an eye catcher on the road. Monsoon showers in Bangalore I always have a flooded digital console with water stranded on all the 5m deep pockets on the speedometer need to wipe them now and then think Mahindra should consider all these facts before manufacturing the product, if the depth be reduced in the mould would have solved the problem, now another problem my fuel indicator started acting crazy always showing half tank, when I am riding just on a liter feel really bad that I bought this bike, now my friends are stating that you should have gone on for a proved vehicle manufacturer like tvs or hero; really trusted Mahindra would definitely build a bolero on two wheels but disappointed. To mention I have been riding two wheeler from the age of nine and I am 38 now, I have ridden all kinds of two wheelers. Finally could not bare to see the left shield popping out looked very ugly, I had to do it myself for my Centuro that I fell in love with at first sight, needed to move the shield 8mm outside to get the required clearance space so the shocks would not touch the shield I placed small 8mm washers under each screw, the fault was not with the shield, or the shocks, it is with the welding at the chassis ,the stump nut for mounting the shocks, one can notice even by eye sight there is a shift between the right and left stump which holds the shock absorbers; being a prototype engineer myself for years I feel that Mahindra needs to put in some real quality in the production line ,sadly could not identify the other thud sounds coming from front headlight doom and the backside of my bike on bumpy roads I don’t have time and would leave that to first service to the idiots there in Esquire who don’t know nuts about what I am complaining, kindly request you to give reply and send some service expertise to inspect my bike, sadly very poor after sales by Mahindra ,last purchased bike was Yamaha ,2008 ,I received a call after 3 hours after delivery ,second call after a week and then after every service asking about- sir are you satisfied by our vehicle and our service ,sadly Mahindra rise has a beautiful call center service but no use didn’t receive a single after sale call. My friends, colleagues, wife ,sisters all of them felt bad about this issue and said not to send the reviews stating I have already spent money in buying the bike and rectified it why help the company in finding solutions, but being in the mechanical field felt the importance in informing, every drop makes an ocean, likewise every customer complaint makes a perfect bike ;my reviews were taken proudly when I purchased aTVS vehicle 1998 and was happy to see the change brought about in the next batch manufactured, recently friends Yamaha ray received a call from Yamaha customer service for a free change in the the handle from the company since they detected there was a fault detected from a customer and all the rays with that handle is been changed hope Mahindra also come up with this kind of service.Anyways I love my vehicle but the thuds and buds makes me feel that I am already riding a five year old vehicle, hope Mahindra sends a good service engineer to inspect my vehicle.

    Note: I am writing this letter with great concern for the passion I have for my Centuro not to hurt Mahindra ,staff or anybody.

  45. Heartly wel-come, but we have a complaint regarding your mileage, which is, you show advertisement on TV with mileage of 67 KMPL, in newspaper 85.4 KMPL & on Inter net it is 84.5 KMPL.. This is very bad to receive such type of variation from such a renowned company.
