Suzuki Motorcycles India are expanding their manufacturing capacity expecting good volumes from their recently introduced Swish 125 and the 110cc bike Hayate. The Gurgaon plant will see a Rs 500 crore expansion and increase production capacity from 3.6 lakh units to 4.7 lakh units per year. Short term goals are to produce up-to 10,000 units of the Hayate per month which will soon be seeing a release in the market. Indian actor Mr Salman Khan has been roped in to be the brand ambassador for the Hayate motorcycle. Reports also confirm that Suzuki Motorcycles India are opening a new plant in Rohtak, Haryana.
