With the Thunderbird 500 being launched, Royal Enfield have taken the opportunity to breathe some life back into the standard Thunderbird 350 that has been with us for a long long time. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 gets a lot of features carried over from the elder brother except for the FI system and now is a more appealing package than its previous version.
The TB350 tank is now a 20 litre one, the rear section that includes the split seats, the LED tail lights and the pillion back rest is similar to that on the TB500 and it also gets the updated front forks, 18 inch tyres and the rear disc setup. The projectors from the TB500 also make it on to the Thunderbird 350 and so does a similar paint job. The new Thunderbird 350 roughly costs about 13,000INR more than the previous one whose bookings had stopped some while back. The on-road price in Mumbai is at 1,43,346 INR.

Firstly I want to tell is that my height is 5’3, 19 yrs in age and just 50 kgs in weight. Whether tb will best suit for me or I should prefer for any other bikes? I want to buy the bike which is more than 200cc… and I also thought of cbr 250r. ..but its too costly when compared to tb’s price.. Any suggestions on tb and cbr 250r?
I am 5′ 3” and 70 Kg.Will my height make any issue in driving TB 350 ? I want my both legs touch the ground for better stability in city traffic.Need advice on that .Also on the mileage . Thanks in advance
I have the TB350 second version, or 2013 model. The bike is good for stylish looking and for long raiding and gives me around 36kmpl in chennai city. But want to mention about the rear break of the vehicle , which gets locked up suddenly when u apply breaks while driving. I have noticed couple of times of this issue , where the bike skids itself to a corner and this situation can lead to accidents. I suggest Royal Enfield to release a the new Thunderbird with drum breaks version for rear wheel, which will be more safer for raiders in the Indian roads.
The problem you are facing might be due to worn or defective brake pads. Have them replaced. It might also be a reason that you have air in your brake fluid supply. Have them checked.
Daer all, I am having claasic 350 i got last year in april 2012 almost 1yr very good bike but especially i dont like spilt seat can some one will tell me thundrbird old model seat will suite to this bike without any mofications i.e. except welding or any suggessions will be appricated.

Currently, I own a Pulsar DTSi 150, which I have been riding since my college days. Now I have grown a bit buIky after passing out from college 2 years ago. To be precise, I am 5 ft 10″ , 95 kgs. Pulsar now looks like a child’s toy to me. So I have booked a TB 350 and expecting it to be delivered by either the end of this month or April first week. This waiting period is making me quite restless though, as it’s already been 6 months.
Anyway, regardless of my physique and waiting period to own my personal RE, I am already an Enfield guy as I have been riding my uncle’s Classic one since a few weeks now. I love how the heads turn when I hit the roads on this majestic beast thumping in all it’s glory and making it’s own way! I just love the whole experience of riding a Royal Enfield.
I have heard quite brilliant things about this mean machine. It would be my first Enfield to be frank. Would you like to pass on some tips/suggestions/advice to me?
All bikes have their own good and bad, and the enfield is no different. Keep to the basics, as in do regular basic maintenance/service, keep the chain properly lubed, check engine oil regularly and ride it like a enfield is supposed to be ridden and you most probably will never have an issue.
guyz wat is d mileage/average given by TB 350 in city and highways
Guys, “Think 1000 times making any decisions but after making decision do not turn back if its 1000 troubles”. RE is RE none of the Indian bike will beat that.
Hi, I have noticed lot of changes in the new TB350 and I felt the Vintage look of TB is missing like the silencer looks like similar to one which is used in spendour. And also backrest looks similar to fancy bikes. Any way I like RE. But I am not considering TB instead I made up my mind for Bullet Electra 350. Pl. exisiting user of new TB350 give your valuable feedback.
The rear disc-brake has an issue. It locks rather frequently. Trust me, the old school drum brake was better. Picture yourself dragging a 180-kg Bull in the summer heat. Just that the Bull’s rear legs won’t move!
Hi! I own an Enfield ThunderBird 350 cc,2004 model. My worry is that my right front leg (Fork) has a oil leak & oil seal needs a replacement. All I want to know is the correct grade of fork oil for the same for smooth working of fork.. I would really appreciate some help on this.. Thanks!!
nyc bike had a test drive today, there seemed to be no problem there, lesser vibrations as compared to classic and great pick up which i felt was missing in classic even though bith hv a sane engine. the thubderbird gives u a sophisticated look while the other RE give u a rough feel and look. i am going to book the bike within a week and will wait for it eagerly.

Hi Saswat, Well to startoff with, you would need to understand about “riding a bull”. Yes it is quite heavy at standstill compared to sports models, but that would not be an issue at all while riding. Secondly, the TB350 and 500 are quite low on ride height compared to other makes from the same manufacturer. Our test rider who is 5’8″ was quite comfortable with the riding position and ride height (knees comfortably bend). This again helps in controlling the weight of the bike like you asked for. Overall, the TB350 is an excellent machine to go for if you are interested in highway cruising and are comfortable riding cruiser machines and prefer over sports models. Good luck with your purchase.
