We all knew it was coming but KTM first acknowledged the presence of its big bad boy the Super Duke 1290 only yesterday with an audio file of the bike at their blog and today they released the first set of teaser snaps of this ‘prototype machine’ as they call it.
Very few details of the 1290 KTM are available at this point of time, what we know is what the blog states, a ride by wire system, a new frame, a new swingarm and a super-fine WP suspension. The engine in all probability would be an over-bored 1195cc V-Twin from the KTM RC8 R. KTM says that all the details would be unveiled on the 13th and the bike would be presented to the world at the EICMA in Milan next week starting from the 14th.
