Mahindra 2 Wheelers at the Auto Expo 2012 kept things in style with the unveiling of the Mahindra MPG30. Built jointly by Mahindra and Italy’s Oral engineering and Mahindra the MPG30 is the first Indian motorcycle that will participate at the MotoGP World Motorcycling Championship. Powered by a 250cc 4 stroke liquid cooled single cylinder engine mounted on a tubular steel chassis the MPG30 sure grabbed a lot attention at the Mahindra 2 wheelers stall.
Also on display was the scooter, Duro DZ with couple of upgrades. The Duro DZ comes with a fuel efficient 125cc engine. Improvements on the Duro DZ include telescopic front suspension, more ground clearance, improved braking system, more legroom, brighter halogen headlamp, 20 litre under seat storage space and a rear brake lock lever for safe parking on inclines. Alongside the Duro DZ Mahindra 2 Wheelers also showcased their Rodeo and Flyte 125cc scooters that cater to different market segments. The Mahindra Duro DZ has recently been launched in the market with a price tag of Rs. 42,332 ex-showroom Delhi.
Also showcased was the eternal concept the 300cc prototype, the Mojo. No questions were entertained on the Mojo and looks like it will still be a while before anything solid happens in its production direction. The Mahidra 2 wheelers stall also had the riders Danny Webb and Sarath Kumar, who were their usual charming best. Check out below for photographs of the stall and the media event.
