While the Ducati Panigale 1199 was the most anticipated motorcycle of 2011 and it certainly lived up to all the hype with the all carbon frame, a 200 HP, low weight body with the power to weight ratio off the charts and of-course the incredible design. Even as we wait for the this brilliant work of art to reach showrooms across the world we now hear news of a possible 799 Panigale. According to our sources this model would replace the current 848 and will run a superquadro engine with a volume of 750 cc, the engine will develop a healthy 145 hp. With the bike weighing in at about 160 kg and running on pretty much all the same technical wizardry from that of the elder 1199 Panigale, we most probably have a new contestant for ‘the most anticipated motorcycle’ in the making.
