The good ol’ Bajaj Pulsar 180 looks to have been discontinued officially by the company as per latest reports. This will be substituted by the 180F which launched sometime earlier and it gets its semi-fairing from the Pulsar 220F. However apart from the fairing everything else remains the same and it will continue to have the carburetted air cooled 178 cc engine that makes 17 BHP and 14 Nm.
This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and the motorcycle comes with telescopic forks in front and double cradle frame and dual Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. Interestingly it still has not got ABS which has been made compulsory from April 1st 2019. There are rear and front 230 mm and 260 mm disc brakes and ABS may soon be introduced for an additional price hike of INR 6,000-8,000.
The Bajaj Pulsar 180F is one of the most attractively priced motorcycles in the segment and competes with the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer SF, Apache RTR 180 and Honda CB Hornet 160R.
