The e-scooter GenZe by Mahindra was recently spotted testing again in India. The scooter is very similar looking to the GenZe 2.0 e-scooter that is on sale in USA. But it may be different in terms of it specifications to suit Indian riders and streets. The version 2 variant comes with a top speed of 48 kph. The charging time is approximately 3.5 hours and the range of 48.3 Km as claimed by the company. It uses 2.0kWh Li-Ion battery. The scooter was spotted last year for the first time in India around April. The GenZe currently has four ride modes- sports, economy, easy and custom. For India, the GenZe is expected with a more powerful motor and a higher-capacity battery. Target pricing is a number below the 1 lakh mark to keep it competitive.

It is rumoured that Mahindra is working towards the heating up issues that was reported earlier for the other GenZe models. There will be some major changes and adjustments in the version 2 e-scooter model to suit the Indian market and condition needs. This is going to be Mahindra’s first e-scooter in India as they confirmed in 2017 announcing its entry in the Indian Electric scooter market.
