Revolt Motors had earlier released the first sketch of their eagerly anticipated electric bike which will launch in June 2019. And now we also have photographs of the bike being tested on Indian roads. This bike looks sporty and is reportedly in its final production stages. The bike will get USD suspension and radially mounted front disc brakes in tandem with ABS. There will be a flat handlebar setup and tank although this may offer space for electrical components. There is a mono suspension rear unit along with 8 spoke alloy wheels. The design definitely looks inspired from the KTM Duke series but still holds its own.
The electric bike should have a 150 km range with one charge and top speed will be restricted to 85 kmph from what we can gather. The bike will also get multiple power and riding modes for city/economy and performance riding. The bike is expected to be the first artificial intelligence backed motorcycle in India but it is not yet clear what the technology will be used for as of now.
The chief designer at Revolt Motors, Shivam Sharma, stated that the entire journey of designing and creating the electric bike was really thrilling and 6 months were needed along with exploration of three new approaches and 7 mock-ups prior to finalising on a design. It is interesting to note that Revolt Motors is part of Revolt Intellicorp which is owned by Rahul Sharma – founder and owner at Micromax India.
