Styling and Features:
Whether on urban streets or globetrotting, the all-new XL750 Transalp by Honda carries forward the legacy of adventure from the iconic original Transalp of the 1980s. Its design radiates the unmistakable aura of adventure touring while excelling on the road. With its dignified aesthetics and rugged angular design, it offers a versatile and universally appreciated package for adventure enthusiasts worldwide.
The XL750 Transalp boasts a cohesive design, featuring a compact headlight, integrated windscreen, and substantial tank shrouds, delivering a blend of bold expression and aerodynamic performance. Its robust rear design, complete with an aluminum rear carrier and LED lighting system, perfectly complements the adventure styling.
This latest adventure touring motorcycle from Honda comes equipped with a 5.0-inch TFT panel that intuitively displays an array of information, including speedometer, tachometer, gear-position indicator, fuel gauge, riding modes, engine parameters, and more. This display is customizable according to the rider’s preferences and can be managed through the screen or the switchgear on the left handlebar.
Incorporated into this adventure bike is the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCs), facilitating seamless smartphone integration for calls, messages, music, and navigation while on the move. Additionally, it features an emergency stop signal function that alerts vehicles behind by flashing hazard lamps during sudden braking and automatic turn signal cancellation.
Engine and Performance:
The XL750 Transalp’s versatile performance is driven by Honda’s new 755cc liquid-cooled 270º crank in-line two-cylinder engine. This compact powerhouse combines Japanese engineering expertise to deliver robust top-end power and abundant torque in the low to mid rpm range, generating 67.5 kW of power and a peak torque of 75 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
To ensure razor-sharp throttle response, the XL750 Transalp utilizes patented Vortex flow ducts that create a uniform air distribution into the airbox. The cylinders feature a Ni-SiC (Nickel-Silicon Carbide) coating, enhancing engine efficiency.
Electronic aids, managed through a Throttle-By-Wire (TBW) system, enable riders to select from five riding modes, customizing Engine Power, Engine Braking, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), ABS, and a slipper clutch. The available riding modes include Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User, accommodating individual preferences.
Suspension, Brakes, and Tires:
The XL750 Transalp’s lightweight steel diamond frame strikes a balance between stability and maneuverability, designed to excel in daily commutes, offer comfort during long highway journeys, and instill confidence on unpaved trails. Its 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel with spokes provide versatility for both on-road and off-road adventures.
For supple on-road performance and off-road bump absorption, this adventure tourer features Showa 43mm SFF-CA™ upside-down (USD) front forks and a rear shock operating through Pro-Link. Braking duties are handled by dual 310mm wave discs with hydraulic 2-piston calipers at the front and a 256 mm single disc with a 1-pot caliper at the rear, equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard.
