Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the all-new XPulse 200 4 Valve adventure motorcycle, which is compliant with OBD-II and E20 standards, in line with their commitment to cleaner and technologically advanced mobility solutions. The XPulse 200 4V features an engine that can run on a blend of ethanol and gasoline, up to 20% ethanol content. It also introduces the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) system, a self-diagnostic feature that detects any errors or malfunctions in the vehicle and notifies the user through a malfunction indicator light.

Engine & Performance:

The XPulse 200 4V is equipped with a 200cc 4 Valve oil-cooled BS-VI engine that complies with OBD-II and E20 standards. It delivers a maximum power output of 19.1 PS at 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 17.35 Nm at 6500 rpm. The OBD-II device monitors the performance of the catalytic converter and enhances the vehicle’s efficiency by sending notifications about any malfunctions.

ABS Modes:

The motorcycle features three ABS modes for different riding conditions – Road, Off-road, and Rally.

Road Mode: With default single-channel ABS, the control systems are optimized for optimum performance on dry roads.
Off-Road Mode: Allows the Hero XPulse 200 4V to exhibit its sporting temperament on-road. The reduced ABS intervention ensures maximum deceleration in off-road conditions such as loose sand, gravel, and rocky terrains.
Rally Mode: Showcases the motorcycle’s off-road capabilities at their best.


The new Hero XPulse 200 4V embodies athleticism, power, and superiority, representing true adventure. It features a taller Rally-style windshield (60mm taller) that provides protection against windblast, reducing fatigue. The Class-D LED Projector headlamp with LED DRLs offers increased light intensity by 230%, ensuring confident riding even at night. The premium switch-gear adds to the overall aesthetic.


The Hero XPulse 200 4V offers a relaxed and meticulous riding position with ergonomics designed for all terrains. It features an updated rider foot peg position lowered by 35mm and 8mm rear set, providing greater control during standing riding stance with less load on the wrists and increased leg holding area for easy maneuverability.

Rider Comfort:

While prioritizing agility for long journeys, the new XPulse 200 4V ensures rider safety and comfort. The larger closed-loop handguards offer improved hand protection against external elements. The updated luggage plate enhances functionality by securely holding bungee hooks and mounting luggage. The relocated USB charging port on the dashboard, with increased capacity, offers convenience for charging devices on the go.

The Pro Variant of the new Hero XPulse 200 4V is robust, uncompromising, and ready for the toughest challenges. It features fully adjustable front suspension (250mm) and rear suspension (220mm), providing a stress-free ride during long journeys. The taller seat height (850mm), increased ground clearance (270mm), and handlebar riser emphasize its robust off-road capabilities.
