Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the new OBD2 compliant 2023 Honda Unicorn. Speaking on the launch, Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, President, CEO & Managing Director of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, expressed gratitude to the loyal customers who have made the Unicorn their preferred choice over the past two decades. Introducing the new OBD2 compliant 2023 Honda Unicorn, Mr. Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales & Marketing at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, highlighted the motorcycle’s unparalleled style, design, power, and advanced ergonomics. He mentioned that the new Unicorn takes it a step further with its OBD2 compliant PGM-FI engine, which delivers heightened efficiency, seamless power delivery, and adherence to the latest standards. Adding to the excitement, the new Unicorn is now available in the captivating Pearl Siren Blue color. The 2023 Unicorn is equipped with Honda’s latest technology, making it ready for the next era of transformation. At its heart lies the BSVI OBD2 compliant mid-size advanced 160cc PGM-FI engine, which offers greater performance and superior efficiency. This advanced and efficient engine is specially designed to deliver good low-end torque and fuel efficiency. With a compression ratio of 10:1, it provides punchy performance. The engine’s rocker arm helps reduce friction losses, ensuring smooth power delivery. Additionally, the engine features a counterweight balancer that minimizes vibrations and ensures smooth acceleration from low to high rpm.
In terms of comfort and convenience, the new 2023 Unicorn is equipped with ABS (Anti-brake system) for enhanced braking performance. It also comes with front and rear tubeless tires, which prevent immediate deflation in case of a puncture. The motorcycle features a high-performance Rear Mono Shock suspension housed below the seat and mounted on the advanced tough and flexible diamond frame, offering superior riding comfort and excellent stability. The high ground clearance (187mm) and long wheelbase (1335mm) inspire rider confidence and comfort, while the long seat (715mm) provides ample space for comfortable long-distance travel. The seal chain requires less frequent adjustments and offers low maintenance. Additionally, the Engine Stop Switch provides the convenience of turning off the engine on brief stops with the flick of a button.
The new 2023 Honda Unicorn boasts a decent and premium style. Its broad front cowl with a smoked screen and voluminous tank create a macho bold character. Chrome stroke on the side cover, chrome garnish on the front cowl, and the 3D Honda Wing Mark on the fuel tank add an appeal of premiumness to the motorcycle.
