Yamaha has teased its upcoming MT-15 on its official social networks with a video that offers an insight into the bike. Bookings are already being taken for the bike which is launching on 15th March, 2019. Showcasing the MT family design from Yamaha, the MT-15 will have highlights for the alloy wheels and fuel tank along with a three-part headlamp and LED position lights.

The Yamaha MT-15 will get a 155 cc engine that dishes out 19.3 PS and 14.7 Nm and this engine is paired to a six speed transmission system. Components will also be sourced from the YZF-R15 V3 including the front 282 mm disc brake, telescopic fork and dual-channel ABS.

The Yamaha MT-15’s Indian version will skip upside down forks and the R15 swingarm which are available in the global version. The new MT-15 may come for anywhere around INR 1.20 lakhs (ex-showroom) and will take on the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, KTM 125 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V in the Indian market.
