UM Motorcycles is planning to launch an entry-level offering named the UM DSR Adventure 200 ABS which will be priced competitively. As per the latest reports, the bike will come at roughly INR 1.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be the second small capacity adventure bike for 2019, with the XPulse 200 being the first.
The UM DSR Adventure 200 ABS will have a taller stance with adventure-esque styling components similar to those used for the Romet ADV 125FI Pro Polish bike. The model seen comes with a top box like the global Romet version and panniers. UM may also be planning to offer a re-badged Romet with a bigger engine in India as per some sources.
The UM DSR Adventure 200 ABS will have an air cooled 196 cc two valve single cylinder carburetted engine that dishes out 16 HP and 16 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a six speed transmission system and comes with fuel tank capacity of 14 litres. Seat height stands at 780 mm and there are front and rear disc brakes. There is single channel ABS available along with 17-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
Images show there could be a tall windscreen along with four colour choices, namely Midnight Black, Olive Green, Octane Blue and Brick Red. Once it launches in India, the UM DSR Adventure 200 ABS will compete with the upcoming Hero Xpulse 200 which could be priced somewhere around INR 1 lakh.
