A new and massively updated 2019 Yamaha FZ-S ABS is pretty much ready and will soon arrive in the Indian market and its launch is expected on January 21st. While there are a couple of options as to what could be launched on the 21st the 2019 FZ-S ABS has been spotted in an undisguised avatar. There is a new fuel tank design in tandem with brand new body panels and LED headlamps like the FZ25.

There is a structure like an air intake near the front portion of the fuel tank. This may well be a solely aesthetic feature or something that could be used to direct air to the engine for efficient cooling. The seat will be a single-piece one which will be different to the step-seat used in the FZ V2.0 and there could be a slight increase in torque and power figures.

The engine covers are quite similar to the previous model but a new design is expected for the alloy wheels. The rear could have a new exhaust and grab rails as well while the bike should get single-channel ABS from launch itself. The present FZ FI V2.0 is priced at INR 82,040 (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the FZ-S FI is priced at INR 88,042 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new FZ may be costlier by around INR 10-15,000 since ABS is expected to be a standard offering.
